Guild 6-Bell Striking Competition at Acton (South Branch)

The 2006 Guild 6-Bell Striking competition was held in the South Branch on the somewhat challenging bells at St Mary, Acton. As last year, all five branches were represented. The weather was, fortunately, cooler than of late but ringing was never easy.

The judges were John and Shirley Pilkington from Whalley (LACR, Blackburn Branch), John providing some most constructive comments while declaring the results as shown in the following table.

Congratulations to Handbridge who rang in fine style to reverse the top two placings of last year and especially to the ladies of St Mary who presented a most excellent tea at a give-away price!
